SKILLED WORKER
The Skilled Worker Category is suitable for persons with work experience, good education, and good language (either or both English and French). This class is assessed based on their education, work experience, age, language, adaptability and arrange employment. A minimum of 67 points is required to qualify under this category.
To qualify under the Skilled Worker Category, a person must satisfy the following conditions, namely:

A person must meet the minimum work experience requirements;

A person must prove that they have the funds required for settlement; and
-
A person must earn enough points in the six (6) selection factors to meet the pass mark.
Work Experience Requirements
Skilled Worker Category are persons that may become permanent residents because their ability to become economically established in Canada.
You must meet the following minimum work experience requirements to allow you to apply as a skilled worker:

Obtained at least one year of paid full-time work experience;
-
Work experience must be in the category of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC); and
-
Obtained work experience within the last 10 years.
Proof of Settlement Funds
Skilled Worker Category must provide proof of funds to support yourself and your dependants, if applicable upon arrival to Canada.

These are six (6) selection factors considered for skilled worker to obtain the points. The table below indicates the maximum allowable points per category that application will be assessed.
