Canada Immigration Consulting Agency Co. (CICA) can provide access to your immigration files at the visa post abroad or to an outpost in Canada that you have submitted your application.

There are a number of reasons a person may request to obtain their immigration file, please consider carefully before requesting your immigration file. Usual reasons for requesting your immigration file:

• Immigration application that is unusually lengthy;

• Information regarding details of medical examination;

• Information regarding details of immigration application and documents submitted on your behalf by your representative, such as lawyer or an immigration consultant;

• Information regarding status of immigration application for permanent resident applications for (Skilled, Family Class, Business Class);

• Immigration application has been refused or rejected (denied);

• For preparation for a possible interview with the Canadian Embassy;

• To know if your immigration file is being assessed properly and in timely manner;

• To check whether information on your immigration files are correct.

Accessing your immigration file is an important tool because you will know the current status of your file. It is also important to know the concerns that the immigration officer has with your file so you and your family can prepare if an interview is required. This can better prepare you and your family.

If you have been refused, or a friend or a relative has been previously refused. Accessing your immigration file will be an important tool in preparing yourself in future immigration application to Canada. For example, if you have been refused in a Permanent Resident application under the Federal Skilled Worker application, most refusals are only given the generic reason for the refusal. Accessing your immigration files will give you the reason for the refusals based on the immigration officer's assessment of your immigration file.

Time Frame

The current processing time for a request for your immigration files may take at least 30 days and longer for overseas immigration files at visa offices abroad (Canadian Embassy or Canadian High Commission).

How do I obtain for your immigration files?

To obtain our services, we will require the following:

• Consent form “Authorization to Disclose Personal Information” signed by you and each adult individuals over the age of 18 included in your immigration application in the;

• Details of your immigration application;

Please note that incomplete information and forms can cause delays.

Method of Delivery

The method of delivery would be as applicable:

• XpressPost for delivery to USA or Canada;

• Registered Mail delivery to other international destinations under 0.5 kg;

• Parcel Mail delivery to other international destinations over 0.5 kg;

• Shipping Fees for postal delivery only.

Method of Submitting the forms

Application forms may be sent through the following methods:

• Mail;

• Fax;

• Online;

• Email (scanned attachment).

Authorization to Disclose Personal Information must be submitted through the following methods only:

• Mail;

• Fax;

• Email (scanned attachment).
