BUSINESS IMMIGRANTS
Business Class Immigrants are immigrants that have experience in business that has funds, skills and expertise in business. The Canadian and provincial government supports their contribution to Canadian economy.
There are three different types of Business Class Immigrants, namely:
Investor Category
Under this category a person must have a net worth of at least CDN $ 800,000.00 and must invest CDN $ 400,000.00 to a Canadian institution for five (5) years;
Entrepreneur Category
Under this program a person must have a net worth of at least CDN $ 300,000.00 and must create and actively manage a business in Canada for a period of one (1) year within the first three (3) years of becoming a permanent resident.
Self-Employed
Under this program a person must demonstrate relevant experience as a self employed person. As a self-employed immigrant you are expected to contribute significantly in cultural, athletic, or farming activities (purchasing and management) in Canada. Also, you must have the intention and ability to establish a self-employed business for yourself in Canada.
